Chornobyl International conference on nuclear safety and recovery

April 26, 2026, marks the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster. To mark this occasion, high-level international delegations have arrived in Ukraine to participate in the Chornobyl Conference on Recovery and Nuclear Safety, with the aim of mobilizing political support for both nuclear safety and Ukraine’s energy recovery.
The goal of the conference is to raise international awareness of nuclear safety and to unite partners’ efforts to finance the restoration of the containment structure.
